Deb: As long as I can remember I've enjoyed designing and making things. In the 1960's I created sand and water candles, in the 70's I macrame'd, in the 80's I crocheted, in the 90's I began beading and papercrafts/card marking, in the new millineum I've entered a whole new world with glass art works. I began fusing glass and making lampwork beads to support my need for focal beads in my jewelry making.
I weave & crochet with beads, knit with wire, braid with beads & fiber, fuse and wirewrap glass to create pendants and work molten glass with a torch to create custom lampworked glass beads.
Many of my skills are self taught but I have taken classes in glass fusing, lampworking, mixed media arts, metal fabrications and lost wax casting.
I also teach card making and kumihimo in private & group lessons and host a local neighborhood beading group. I am a member of a Sacramento Glass Bead Makers Group and the International Society of Glass Beadmakers (ISGB),
Chaz: When we do Craft Shows he handles the business side of things from the displays and pricing to inventory and marketing plus he handles all the heavy lifting. Chaz also works full time in marketing and distribution for an automotive replacement parts manufacturer.
Our goal is not to create things to sell but to sell things we create. Each piece is made as if it were made for ourselves with high quality materials and lots of TLC.
